129564 Christy (provisional designation: 1997 ER40) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Marc W. Buie at the Anderson Mesa Station in Coconino County, Arizona, on March 7, 1997. It is named after James W. Christy, an American astronomer most notable for his discovery of Pluto's satellite Charon.[1]
